Your Inner Tzaddik Sunday, February 3,
2008 How can each one of us answer the call to participate with the Source of Life in making our world a better place? A special workshop will help you awaken your "Tzaddik Nature"! When we pray with skillful kavannah (directed attention), we embody teshuvah (leaving old ways and returning to God). We return to ourself and the Source of ourself. This return is a tikkun: a repair, a healing, a making whole. Through chanting and prayer exercises, and through exploration of different dimensions of reality, we will learn how to enjoy greater healing and wholeness in all areas of our life. When we bring this practice of return and repair to the many areas of our life--our personal, professional, and community life--then our "tzaddik nature," our righteousness, is awakened. Then we are more able to help restore healing and wholeness to the world. This workshop will be led by David J. Stern, PsyD, a clinical psychologist, healer, trainer, and consultant practicing in Providence, R.I. The event is a fundraiser for the R.I. Center for Jewish Healing. A donation of $40 (sliding scale) is requested. To register, send your check (payable to RICJH) to Tucker Lieberman, 1117 Douglas Ave. #210, North Providence, RI 02904. For more information, contact Tucker at tucker.lieberman [at] gmail.com or (401) 437-6512.
